Samsung Galaxy Watch band size chart: width and attachment by model
Galaxy Watch4, 5, 6 and 7 take 20mm quick-release bands, including the 47mm Watch6 Classic. Watch3 45mm, Galaxy Watch 46mm and Gear S3 take 22mm. Watch8, Watch9 and Watch Ultra use Samsung's own attachment, so a standard band won't fit them.

From Samsung's US band guide, Australian guide and band listings, read November 2026. Watch FE and Gear Sport aren't in those guides, so their width comes from our catalogue. Samsung's Australian guide also groups the Ultra 2 with the Ultra line. We found nothing on Watch9 Classic bands, so it isn't listed. Amazon links are searches, so check that the listing names your watch.

Do older bands fit the Galaxy Watch8 or Watch9?
Probably not, though Samsung's pages disagree. Its US guide says the Watch8 line uses a new attachment that isn't compatible with earlier models' bands, and a Watch8 Sport Band listing says the same. Its Australian guide instead groups Watch4 through Watch9 as 20mm quick-release. We follow the stricter pages. For Watch9, Samsung sells a Fabric Band for Watch9, Watch8 and Watch8 Classic, so check that the listing names your watch.
Same width doesn't always mean it fits
Samsung lists older bands as fitting newer watches, for example Watch4 bands on a Watch6. It warns that newer bands may not fully fit older models, that Watch4 Classic bands aren't backward-compatible, and that third-party 20mm bands may not fit or connect properly.
How to check your band width
Measure the gap between the lugs, or the end of the band where it meets the watch, in millimeters. Samsung's own bands also come in two lengths: S/M for 130–190mm wrists and M/L for 145–205mm wrists.
