Is your Amazfit watch battery normal?

Amazfit publishes no capacity figure, but it publishes something better than everyone except Apple: an actual test. If a watch loses more than 5% over 24 hours idle after every optimisation is applied, Amazfit tells owners to contact support. That is the only usable threshold any brand gives for a watch you cannot read a capacity figure from.

What Amazfit will actually tell you

Reading battery health yourself: Amazfit exposes no capacity figure on the watch, so the 24-hour idle test is the closest thing to a measurement an owner can take.

Amazfit's own battery guidance

What to change on a Amazfit, biggest saving first

Ordered by what it actually saves. Brand guidance usually is not — which is how “turn off music” ends up above “disable always-on” in a manual.

Storing, charging and replacing

Storing itnot published by the brand

Amazfit publishes no storage charge range. Its own advice before diagnosing anything is to charge the watch fully first, so that a test starts from a known point.

Charging it

Amazfit watches use a magnetic contact charger. Amazfit’s troubleshooting starts with a full charge, which matters for the idle test: a reading that starts from 80% tells you much less than one that starts from 100%.

Replacing the batterynot published by the brand

Not user-replaceable; service goes through Amazfit support. Amazfit publishes no standard price. Because Amazfit watches sit at lower price points than most, a battery service can approach the cost of a newer model — worth checking before committing.

What the warranty covers

Amazfit’s warranty covers manufacturing defects. The useful detail is that Amazfit itself defines the evidence: apply every optimisation, run the 24-hour idle test, and if the drain exceeds 5% it asks you to contact support for analysis. That is a published procedure rather than an argument, which makes it a stronger starting point than most brands give their owners.

Amazfit battery questions

What is the 24-hour idle test?
Amazfit’s own procedure: charge to full, turn on Do Not Disturb, set brightness to minimum, turn off Bluetooth and always-on display, switch to a default watch face, then leave the watch alone for 24 hours. If it loses more than 5%, Amazfit asks owners to contact support for analysis. It is the clearest threshold published by any watch maker outside Apple.
Why does my Amazfit drain faster than the quoted weeks?
The quoted figures assume a quiet watch. Amazfit names the screen and the vibration motor, exercise tracking, frequent notifications and a long screen-on duration as its own causes. Continuous heart-rate and blood-oxygen monitoring run all day and night on top of that.
Do third-party watch faces matter on Amazfit?
Amazfit specifically recommends switching to a default face when diagnosing drain, which is as close as a brand comes to saying third-party faces are a known cause.

This is general information, not a diagnosis: it compares one figure you have given us against the runtime the manufacturer publishes, and we cannot measure your battery. Your manufacturer or an authorised service centre is the only place that can test it. Service pricing and warranty terms vary by country and change over time — treat the figures here as a starting point and confirm them with Amazfit for your own model.
